Rajganj, 02nd December: The police of Canal More Traffic Out Post and Ambari Out Post arrested two youths with firearms on Thursday evening near Navapara.
The accused have been identified as Akash Dey (22) and Sher Ali (20), both residents of Dalkhola area of Uttar Dinajpur district. However, Akash lives in a rented house in the Pradhan Nagar area of Siliguri.
As per the police sources, while controlling traffic, the police got suspicious of seeing a four-wheeler passenger vehicle with black tinted windows. After which the police stopped the vehicle. On searching the vehicle, a pistol was recovered. After this, the police arrested the two youths in the vehicle and also seized the said car. Today the accused have been produced in the Jalpaiguri court. The police are probing the entire incident.
