Kharibari, 06th April: In a recent development, two youths have been arrested with 302 grams of brown sugar. The arrested accused have been identified as Sujit Barman and Jai Mahant, both residents of Gaur Singh Jote.
As per reports, acting on a tip off on Friday, the cops of Panitanki Outpost of Kharibari conducted an operation in Dilsha Ram Jote near Panitanki and detained two youths based on suspicion. During the subsequent search, 302 grams of brown sugar was recovered from their possession. Later both the accused were handed over to Kharibari police.
Sources revealed that the accused were in plans to transport the drugs from Gaur Singh Jote and sell it in Dilsha Ram Jote. However, the plan was foiled by the police. On Saturday, both the accused have been presented before the Siliguri court.
