Two arrested on charges of theft in Siliguri

Siliguri, 08th June: The NJP police arrested two individuals on charges of theft, following which several stolen goods have also been recovered. Notably, in the last few months, there have been many incidents of theft in the Fulbari area of Siliguri in which numerous items were stolen in several incidents. The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammed Moinuddin Khan, a resident of West Dhantala in Fulbari, and Biraj Barman, a resident of Deshbandhu Para in Siliguri.


Meanwhile, on the 2nd of June, fishing rods worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from a fishing equipment shop in the Fulbari tollgate area. Subsequently, the owner, Biplab Mandal, filed a written complaint at the police station. Based on the complaint, the police, engaged in investigation, arrested the two individuals in connection with the theft.

According to police sources, upon interrogation of the accused, police received information regarding burglary in school, along with many other incidents. Additionally, stolen goods were recovered from the house of Moinuddin Khan.
