Two arrested for cattle smuggling case in Phansidewa

Phansidewa, 28th December: Cattle smugglers were once again arrested from the Indo-Bangladesh border area. Phansidewa police arrested the two along with 12 cattle. The smugglers have been identified as Mohammad Sadiruddin and Mohammad Naseeruddin, both residents of Karandighi.


Reportedly, the Phansidewa police seized a cargo vehicle by running a campaign based on tip-off from the Chathat area of the Indo-Bangladesh border. When the cargo vehicle was searched, 12 cattle were rescued from it. After this two smugglers were arrested in the said incident.

The arrested smugglers were produced in Siliguri court today. Police have started investigating the entire incident.
