Tunnel collapsed in J&K: bodies of 9 laborers recovered, 5 from West Bengal

An under construction four-lane tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district collapsed on Thursday night. Around ten workers were trapped inside.
Reportedly, the rescue team has recovered nine bodies from the tunnel, of which 5 labourers are said to be residents of West Bengal. They have been identified as Jadav Roy (23), Gautam Roy (22), Sudhir Roy (31), Dipak Roy (33), and Parimal Roy (38).
As of now, a huge force of rescue teams of police, Army, state and national disaster response are working in the rescue mission. Further details awaited.
