Kalchini, 30th April: Sensation prevailed after the lifeless body of a man, identified as Bahadur Munda, was found hanging from a noose in the Nimti area under Kalchini block of Alipurduar district. According to family sources, the young man was gravely troubled by the ongoing lockdown.
Upon receiving the news, the Kalchini police reached the spot, recovered the body hanging from a tree next to his residence, and sent it for an autopsy.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
