Siliguri, 24th September: The Trinamool Congress demonstrated across the state against the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. Likewise, a protest was held on behalf of the Town Committee No. 01 of Darjeeling District Trinamool Youth Congress in front of the petrol pump located at Airview More of Siliguri. The protesters raised their voices against the central government.
During the protest, leaders of Trinamool’s Town Committee No. 01, including president of Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress Papiya Ghosh, TMYC president Kuntal Roy, were present.
On the other hand, a protest was held in front of Bakshi and Pal Petrol Pump in Siliguri on behalf of the Town Committee No. 2 of Darjeeling District Trinamool Youth Congress. Reportedly, a similar program is being organized by the TMYC at a total of 66 petrol pumps in the Darjeeling district.
