Trinamool candidate Pritikana Biswas campaigns in Siliguri’s Ward No. 44

Siliguri, 22nd January: Pritikana Biswas, who broke ties with CPI(M) and joined Trinamool Congress, is contesting this year’s municipal elections from Ward No. 44 for the third time. Earlier, she contested and won the corporation elections twice on the ticket of CPI(M). This time Pritikana is campaigning fiercely to put on a victory hat-trick.

It is to be noted that in the year 2009, for the first time on CPI(M) ticket, Biswas contested in Ward No. 44 and won. Following this, in the year 2015, she contested the election on the ticket of CPI(M) and won once again. However, this time, Pritikana Biswas is in the electoral fray on Trinamool Congress’ ticket and is appealing to the public to vote for the TMC and not the CPI(M).

Biswas is conducting door to door campaign in the ward in full swing. She stated that she changed her party solely for the ‘complete development’ of the ward. She added that she is getting good responses from the people and is confident that she will win the election for the third time.
