Traffic movement from Rambi to Teesta Bridge to remain closed on Nov 29 

Kalimpong, 25th November: The road of National Highway-10 is lying in a deplorable condition after a massive landslide hit several spots of the trail a few months ago.


In this context, a meeting was conducted by different departments of Kalimpong District. Besides, the PWD had also requested for a complete closure of traffic at 29th Mile, NH 10 to clear out the debris and repair the road in and around the 29th Mile area of NH 10

In view of this, it has been decided to closed normal traffic movement from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm on November 29 (Sunday) from Rambi to Teesta Bridge and vice versa.


On behalf of the administration, all citizens have been appealed to avoid journey through this route during the said period. However, in case of an emergency, the people are requested to take an alternate route via Peshok/Jorebunglow/Sukna or via Algarah/Lava/Gorubathan.
