Kharibari, 22nd February: In a recent development, a tractor illegally loaded with sand was seized in Kharibari. In addition, the tractor driver, identified as Suraj Oraon, was arrested in connection to the case.
According to reports, the cops of Kharibari police station seized a tractor from an area adjacent to Kharibari BDO Office. Reportedly, the tractor was used for illegal sand extraction from the Dumuria River. The police arrested the driver upon failure to provide valid documents. On Thursday, the accused was produced before the Siliguri Court. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
