TMYC held silent protest at various petrol pumps in Naxalbari against fuel price hike

Naxalbari, 24th September: The supporters of Trinamool Youth Congress staged a state-wide protest against the increase in fuel price. Likewise, a silent protest was held at various petrol pumps in Naxalbari today. The TMYC activists wore t-shirts with a taunting message against the centre and also distributed mocking coupons to all the customers who came to the pump.

In this regard, TMYC president Viraj Sarkar said that at present people are being forced to pay an additional 50 rupees to buy oil. He accused the centre of not considering the hardship being faced by the common people. “They are only busy with ED and CBI,” Sarkar further added.
