Siliguri, 11th September: West Bengal Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) protested against the Governor at the North Bengal University (NBU) premises. During the protests, TMCP State President Trinankur Bhattacharya along with district and state leaders were present.
During the demonstrations, TMCP State President Trinankur Bhattacharya stated that the protest was aimed at saving the state’s higher education system, keeping the universities functional, and protecting the interests of students. He added that the protest commenced at NBU and would be further staged in 22 Universities across the state till Friday. Furthermore, he also warned of staging Raj Bhavan gherao in the future against the alleged high-handedness of the Governor.
