Siliguri, 30th August: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a special program was organized by Trinamool Congress (TMC) of Surya Sen Colony, Block A, Mamata Mandir. The program witnessed the presence of TMC leader Madan Bhattacharya. During this, sweets were distributed and rakhis were tied to the passersby.
During the occasion, TMC leader Madan Bhattacharya stated that Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee always emphasizes the idea of unity and goodwill in the state. He added that the program intends to bring everyone into a bond of brotherhood by wearing rakhis.
