TMC leaders and locals launch campaign against illegal liquor sales in Cooch Behar’s Akrahat area

Cooch Behar, 30th May: In an effort to combat the ongoing issue of illegal liquor sales, the local Trinamool leaders and villagers in the Akrahat area of Sitalkuchi, Cooch Behar, initiated a campaign. The illicit sale of liquor has allegedly been prevalent in the Akrahat market area for an extended period, leading to a deteriorating environment in the locality.


Trinamool Congress Block Vice President Abdul Jalal highlighted the persistence of illegal liquor sales in the area, despite previous warnings. He expressed concern over the negative impact on the market area and emphasized the need to maintain a healthy environment. As a result, the local Trinamool leadership and locals launched a campaign aimed at curbing the illegal sale of liquor.

Abdul Jalal stated that the campaign would continue relentlessly until the issue is resolved and change is observed in the locality.
