TMC carries out a rally in Siliguri against alleged ‘Khalistani’ term on IPS officer

Siliguri, 22 February: On Thursday, the Trinamool Youth Congress (TMYC) and Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) took to the streets in protest against a comment allegedly calling an IPS officer a ‘Khalistani’.


The rally witnessed the presence of Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Papiya Ghosh, TMYC Darjeeling District President, and other TMC leaders and workers.

It is to be noted that recently an IPS officer was allegedly termed ‘Khalistani’. Since then, the party has resorted to protests at several locations.


As per reports, the TMYC and the TMCP carried out a rally against the State’s LoP Suvendu Adhikari. The rally commenced from Baghajatin Park in Siliguri, circumambulated the city’s streets, and ended at Mahatma Gandhi More (Air View More).
