TMC candidate’s house vandalized in Dinhata’s Bhetaguri, allegations point towards BJP

Cooch Behar, 29th July: Chaos ensued following vandalism at the residence of a Trinamool Congress candidate in Bhetaguri, Dinhata district. The Trinamool Congress party has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of being behind the act of vandalism.


According to reports, the house of Panchayat Samiti candidate Rajeev Kumar Barman, running for Seat No. 39 in Dinhata Block-1, was allegedly vandalized around 12:30 am on Friday night. The perpetrators reportedly damaged the electric pole lights and CCTV cameras outside the house before breaking the tin fence surrounding the property. Throughout the incident, the miscreants continuously hurled verbal abuses. Subsequently, the miscreants left the scene after carrying out the act.


Speaking about the incident, Trinamool Panchayat Samiti candidate Rajeev Kumar Barman stated that it occurred the previous night and held the BJP responsible for the vandalism. He demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits involved. On the other hand, the BJP has denied all allegations made by the Trinamool Congress party.
