Rajganj, 13th April: CPIM leader Sujan Chakraborty held a meeting in Rajganj on Tuesday and stated that TMC and BJP are destroying democracy in ‘Holi of blood’.
Sujan Chakraborty, the CPIM candidate of the Jadavpur assembly, held a meeting in support of Sanjukta Morcha candidate Ratan Roy in the Bandhunagar area of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat under Rajganj assembly constituency.
Addressing the media, he said that the election in Bengal was earlier a festival of democracy. However, now voting in Bengal means tension. “They want to pollute the festival of democracy with Holi of blood. Bengal has to be saved and be brought into the festival of peace and harmony,” he stated.
Apart from candidate Ratan Roy, Jalpaiguri district CPIM secretary Salil Acharya, district secretariat members Moktal Hossain, Shaukat Ali, and Debabrata Roy were present at the meeting.
