Siliguri, 10th October: Police have so far succeeded in nabbing three of the four fugitives who broke the lock of a police van and fled while being taken to the court on Thursday. The three were produced in Jalpaiguri court today under tight security.
Based on a tip-off, a team of Bhakti Nagar police on Friday first arrested Rakesh Mishtri who had fled into the forest area adjacent to Siliguri’s Check Post area. This was eventually followed by the arrest of Sultan Islam and Muksudul Haque, while Pranesh Adhikari still remains to be on the run. The search operation is underway.
