Three more arrested in connection with two-wheeler theft in Siliguri

Siliguri, 03rd January: In a significant breakthrough, the police arrested three more members of a gang involved in scooty and motorbike theft in Siliguri. The arrested accused have been identified as Shibu Barui, Mohammad Habu, and Mohammad Razzaq, all residents of an area under the NJP police station.


Recently, the cops of Bhakti Nagar police station busted a gang of two-wheeler thieves, arrested three members, and recovered four stolen two-wheelers. On Sunday, the accused were taken on remand after being produced before the court.

Reportedly, following further interrogations of the accused, police conducted subsequent raids at several locations in Siliguri and recovered a total of 7 stolen two-wheelers. During this, three more miscreants were arrested in connection with the theft.


On Wednesday, three arrested accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri court. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the matter.
