Rajganj, 07th March: One person sustained injuries after three lorries collided with each other at the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway near Rajganj’s Sariam at around 9.30 pm on Sunday.
According to local sources, a lorry was parked on the national highway. After a while, two other lorries headed from Jalpaiguri to Siliguri rammed into the parked lorry parked from behind. In the crash, the driver of the middle lorry was seriously injured and was trapped in the vehicle for almost an hour.
Acting promptly, the fire brigade and Rajganj police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The said driver was rescued from the vehicle and sent to the hospital. Rajganj police has started investigation in the case.
