Siliguri, 17th April: An incident of theft surfaced on the occasion of Ram Navami, where a young man allegedly stole cash from a garments store located near Haidar Para in Siliguri.
According to reports, on Wednesday, the owner had left the shop for his meal when a young man broke the lock of the store gate, entered inside, and allegedly made way with about Rs 40,000.
Later, as the store owner returned, he spotted a few customers outside his store and the money bag lying nearby. Promptly, the owner examined the CCTV footage and learned about the incident. Subsequently, the owner informed the matter to the Bhakti Nagar police station.
In this regard, the store owner stated that a young man allegedly stole the cash and fled from the scene as revealed by the CCTV footage of the store.
Upon being alerted, the Bhakti Nagar police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the entire incident.
