Theft at a mobile phone store on Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass, investigation underway

Siliguri, 22nd April: A shocking incident of theft surfaced from an area adjacent to Buraburi temple on Eastern Bypass in Siliguri where miscreants allegedly broke the shutter of a mobile phone store and fled with handsets worth Rs 25 to 30 lakhs. The incident created a stir in the entire area.


According to reports, the store owner and his employees closed the store on Sunday night and left home. On Monday morning, the owner learned from a local businessman about his store’s shutter being broken.

Subsequently, the distressed store owner promptly informed the matter to the Ashighar Outpost police. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the spot and initiated investigation into the entire incident.
