Tensions erupt over BJP-Trinamool clash in Siliguri

Siliguri, 28th February: BJP has called for a 12-hour bandh on Monday, alleging that voting in 108 municipalities in the state was not peaceful. Party leaders and activists took to the streets in Siliguri this morning in support of the bandh.


The BJP workers started protesting in support of the bandh on NH 31 adjacent to the Shahid Nagar area of ​​Ward No. 43. Due to the road blockade, traffic congestion was created. Upon receiving the news, the Bhaktinagar police reached the spot and tried to control the situation.


Meanwhile, Trinamool leaders and activists rushed to the spot after receiving the news. Massive clashes broke out between both parties. Police then arrested two BJP activists from the spot.
