Tension erupts in Rajganj after poll results, vandalism reports surface

Rajganj, 05th May: Tension spread in Bhandarighach village under Rajganj block following the announcement of election results.

Allegedly, miscreants vandalised the residence of the Binaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan. Reports also suggest that several nearby houses were damaged during the incident.

A section of local residents has claimed that BJP supporters may have been involved in the incident.

However, the BJP leadership has strongly denied the allegation. BJP leader Dhananjay Mallick stated that the incident is the result of internal factional conflict within the Trinamool Congress.

He further claimed that there were existing disputes within the party and that the incident is being used to malign the BJP after the election results.
