Siliguri, 03rd March: Ten passengers were injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a truck in front of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
Reportedly, the accident occurred while the bus was coming from Bihar to Siliguri. After the incident, the injured were recovered and taken to NBMCH for treatment. The front of the bus was badly crushed inwards, pinning the driver in his seat. Later, the firefighters reached the spot and pulled out the driver by cutting a part of the bus.
On the other hand, the Matigara police reached the spot immediately. Traffic came to a standstill for some time due to the accident.
