Siliguri, 05th September: Teachers’ Day was observed today on behalf of Trinamool Youth Congress of Ward No. 16 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation. During the programme, the leaders of Trinamool Youth Congress paid floral tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President of India, on his birth anniversary.
Along with the teachers, the party activists felicitated cleaning staff, police and journalists who are working in the frontline risking their lives amid the COVID outbreak.
Siliguri Police Commissionerate ACP East-1 Swapan Sarkar, Siliguri Police Station IC Sudeep Chakraborty, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Ranjan Sarkar and teachers were present on the occasion.
