Taking forward Gaurav Sharma’s campaign, Akhilesh Chaturvedi, inaugurated an e-education center at Bhakti Nagar police station

Siliguri, 26th September: Akhilesh Chaturvedi, the new Commissioner of Siliguri Metropolitan Police, is taking forward the campaign of former commissioner Gaurav Sharma. He had started an e-education project to provide free computer education to underprivileged children. Under this campaign, various e-education centers were inaugurated at Matigara and Siliguri police stations.


Preparations were underway to set up a center at Bhakti Nagar police station, but before the plan could be executed, Gaurav Sharma was transferred to the Bidhananagar Police Commissionerate. Taking forward this campaign of the former commissioner, Akhilesh Chaturvedi today inaugurated an e-education center for underprivileged children at Bhakti Nagar police station. The needy children of Bhakti Nagar, Ashighar, and Salugara area can avail of free computer education in this said center.


At the same time, during this program today, Police Commissioner Akhilesh Chaturvedi distributed school bags and study materials to some needy children. After this, the new Commissioner announced to give a grant of Rs 60,000 to the Puja clubs which Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced. The said grants were given to the Puja committees during the program.
