Students protested in  Siliguri Polytechnic College after 250 students failed in first semester

Siliguri, 07th November: Tension ensued in Siliguri Polytechnic College after students protested in the college against the faculty as 250 students failed in the first semester. The students protested closing the main gate of the college. 
Professors faced uproar from the students while entering the college. The students alleged that around 250 students have failed in practicals. They threatened that they will not sit for the second-semester exams which will start on the 09th of this month until the faculty re-checks their first-semester exams. However, the students called off the protest after getting assurance from the principal. 
In this regard, the principal of the college, Subhashis Mukherjee said that due to a technical fault of the council, the results of a large number of students failed. The matter has been informed to the higher authorities and is hopeful the problem to be resolved soon.
