Student missing for past 5 days, protest staged in police station alleging police negligence

Siliguri, 20th March: A school student went missing after going to take her Madhyamik examination.


It has been learned that Jasmin Khatun, a resident of Jyotirmoy Colony, Ward No. 32, Siliguri, went to Deshbandhu Vidyapeeth School on March 15 to appear for the Madhyamik examination. However, she did not return home since then. A missing person complaint was lodged at the NJP police station. Although 5 days have passed since the incident, no trace of her has been found yet. The family members of the student went to the NJP police station today and alleged police negligence in this regard.

The family of the missing student alleged that Jasmine was forcibly taken away by a youth from the area. They demanded that she be found soon and that the accused be arrested.
