Sikkim, 28th June: Sensation prevailed after the lifeless body of Padam Gurung (21), the President of the Students Representatives Council (SRC) at Namchi Government College, was found under mysterious circumstances in the Kazitar area early Wednesday morning. The unfortunate incident occurred after heavy rainfall overnight, causing the body to be swept into a nearby drain.
Padam Gurung had been reported missing since Tuesday night, prompting concern among the college community. Following the discovery, authorities carefully documented the scene and took the body to the mortuary at Namchi District Hospital for further examination and necessary procedures. The Namchi police are investigating the incident to unravel the circumstances surrounding the untimely demise of the student leader.
