Siliguri, 25th October: During an administrative meeting in Siliguri on Monday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held discussions regarding Student Credit Card Scheme with the concerned officials.
It has been alleged that many students are not receiving loans even after applying through the scheme. As a result, many are deprived of the benefits provided by the state.
“In some districts, banks are not providing loans while in other cases, students are hesitating to avail the scheme. The matter is not clear,” the CM said. She asked the concerned officer to send her the daily reports regarding the number of applications being submitted in banks.
