Cooch Behar, 07th December: Sensation ensued in the area after the body of a private bank employee was recovered from inside the house in Ward No. 06 of Mathabhanga. The deceased has been identified as Utpal Sonowal, a resident of Arunachal Pradesh.
Reportedly on Wednesday morning, a strong and pungent odour was coming from the said house. Fearing something untoward, people immediately informed the police about it. Police reached the spot as soon as the news was received. After which the police entered inside by breaking the door of the house and found the man lying dead. However, the cause of his death has not been ascertained yet.
A huge police corps along with SDPO Surjit Mandal of Mathabhanga police station reached the spot after receiving the news of the incident. According to the information, Utpal was working in a bank located in Mathabhanga for the last two years and did not go to work for the last two days. The police have started investigating the entire incident.
