SSB stop illegal smuggling of cattle along Indo-Nepal border, 11 rescued

Kharibari, 22nd February: The Bhaskarbhatta BOP personnel under the Limbuguri Company of the 41st Battalion of SSB located on the Indo-Nepal border seized 11 cattle illegally brought from Nepal. However, no arrest has been made in connection with this incident.


As per the information received from SSB, Naka patrolling was being carried out along the Indo-Nepal border by the jawans of the 41st Battalion of Bhaskarbhatta BOP where they saw the cattle being illegally smuggled from Nepal near border pillar number 103/15.

When the SSB jawans intervened, the smugglers left the cattle and fled back to Nepal. The jawans immediately seized all 11 cattle and handed them over to the local police station. The SSB is watchful of illegal activities including smuggling along the border. Hence, patrolling is being carried out continuously at the borders.
