Siliguri, 13th August: Janashree Club has begun preparations for its Durga Puja with a ‘Khutti Puja’ ceremony at the Ghogomali School ground in Siliguri. The club’s Durga Puja will enter its 57th year this year.
As in previous years, the organisers are preparing to surprise visitors with an innovative theme. Last year, the puja pandal, inspired by the architecture of the Jagannath Temple in Puri, attracted considerable attention from visitors.
Continuing the tradition of introducing new concepts, the organisers have chosen a distinctive architectural theme for this year’s Puja.
According to the organisers, this year’s pandal will be designed based on the architecture of a prominent temple in Karnataka, South India. During the Puja, visitors to the Ghogomali area will get to experience a unique representation of South Indian heritage and architectural style.
