Kharibari, 26th February: SSB organized a 30-day sewing training camp to empower women and help them become self-reliant. The program was inaugurated on Saturday at Madanjote in Kharibari on the initiative of Ranidanga 41st Battalion and in collaboration with MS Management Service.
Okendra Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Ranidanga Headquarters, Nikhil Biswas, In-charge of Madanjote Camp, Mrinal Ranjan Roy, Bimal Sinha and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
According to the information, 66 women are participating in the said program. In this camp, the women will be given training for cutting and tailoring. After the completion, certificates will also be handed out to them. It is to recall, earlier too, the SSB had arranged several skill-developing programs like jewellery making, electronic training and mobile repairing courses in the border area.
