Naxalbari, 08th December: SSB jawans have arrested two people selling drugs in vegetable bags. The accused have been identified as Thiren Singh (48) and Raju Roy (34), both residents of Thiknikata in Matigara.
Reportedly, Raju and Thiren had reached the area adjacent to the BDO office of Naxalbari on Thursday to sell drugs where they were caught by SSB Bara Maniram Jote’s 8th Battalion soldiers. During the search, 394 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the accused whose market value has been estimated at Rs 09 lakh.
Later both were handed over to Naxalbari police for further action. The arrested accused will be produced in Siliguri divisional court tomorrow.
