Siliguri, 04th January: Sensation prevailed after a vehicle lost control in front of the Siliguri Metropolitan Police IG’s office and rammed into an electric pole. Two people, identified as Pradeep Tharani and Pradeep Jhawa were severely injured in the incident. They were rescued and rushed to the hospital.
According to local sources, the car was travelling at a high speed towards Champasari from the Check Post area around 11:30 pm on Sunday. It lost control and hit an electric pole in front of the IG’s office.
Meanwhile, the Bhakti Nagar police reached the spot after receiving the news of the incident. The police retrieved the vehicle and took it to the police station.
