South Dinajpur, 05th January: The residents of South Dinajpur district will receive a 5-day train service as a New Year gift.
The Balurghat-Howrah Express currently runs 2 days a week from Balurghat, a suburban town in South Dinajpur district.
The residents of Balurghat and South Dinajpur have demanded that the train be run daily instead of two days a week for a long time. Rail sources say the Balurghat-Howrah Express train will run five days a week instead of 2 days in January.
