Naxalbari, 22nd April: MLA and actor Soham Chakraborty along with Minister Aroop Biswas conduct election campaign in support of Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Gopal Lama from Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency in Naxalbari.
During this, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh and other supporters of the party were present.
Reportedly, Soham and Aroop Biswas campaigned on foot from Rathkhola in Naxalbari to Panighata More. During this, a crowd of enthusiastic people gathered on both sides of the road to get a glimpse of the actor.
During the campaign, Soham Chakraborty stated that witnessing the enthusiasm of the people, it is anticipated that candidate Gopal Lama would win the elections. He added that today’s campaign is a ‘Victory March’ and urged the people to vote for candidate Gopal Lama.
