Social activist Bapan Ghosh provides financial aid for the treatment of 7-year old in Siliguri

Siliguri, 07th September: 7-year old son of e-rickshaw driver Akhil Banik, resident of Siliguri Aurobindopally Taltola area, has been suffering from heart disease since birth.


While little one has undergone treatment at North Bengal Medical College-Hospital (NBMCH) as well as in other states, the family is living under severe crisis at the moment and is being unable to buy medicines for their son.

To save up for her son Asim’s medical treatment, his mother started working as a domestic helper. However, she lost the job too due to the ongoing pandemic.


After learning about the matter, social activist Bapan Ghosh extended a helping hand towards the needy family and handed over a cheque of 6 thousand rupees for the boy’s treatment, on Monday. He also assured to take the responsibilities of Asim’s further treatment.
