Siliguri, 23rd February: The report card of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation was published on the occasion of the anniversary of the Municipal Board formed by TMC. On February 22, the Municipal Board formed by TMC completed one year. Today, on the occasion of the same, a procession was taken out by the SMC.
However, due to the Madhyamik examination, no mic was used in the procession. Today the procession commenced in front of Baghajatin Park in Siliguri and concluded at Siliguri Municipal Corporation via Collegepara. During this, Municipal Corporation Mayor Goutam Deb, Municipal Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Municipal Commissioner Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, Mayor-Council, and councilors were present.
Mayor Goutam Deb started the program by lighting a lamp. After this, a video was showcased highlighting the development of the city after TMC formed the board. Along with this, a report card was published about what SMC has done for the common people and the city in the past year and what are the plans for the future. Though all Trinamool corporators were present in the procession and the event, none of the opposition councilors attended the event.
In this regard, the Mayor said that everyone has been invited by the SMC. He then added that if someone does not want to come of their own free will, then it is their matter.
