Siliguri, 16th September: In the last few days, many children are being treated for fever, cold, and cough in different hospitals of North Bengal. Meanwhile, dengue and scrub typhus cases have been reported in North Bengal Medical College Hospital.
In this context, Goutam Deb, the administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, will likely hold a meeting with the officials of the district health department on Friday. SMC will work according to the guidelines given by the health department.
“Siliguri Municipal Corporation is working on the issue. Awareness is being raised concerning dengue. SMC is also monitoring the situation so that there is no stagnant water anywhere,” Goutam Deb said.
