Siliguri, 10th June: The Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) launched an anti-encroachment operation against unauthorized construction in ward number 43 under the court’s directives.
As per reports, on Monday, workers of the SMC demolished the unauthorized construction in the Himali Shahid Nagar area of Ward No. 43 of SMC. Reportedly, the establishment was undergoing a prolonged legal procedure following which the court instructed its removal on Monday.
Additionally, a contingent police force was present during the demolition.
