Siliguri, 02nd October: Today marks the 152nd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. While the special day is being observed across the country, Gandhi Jayanti was also celebrated by Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Chairman of the Board of Administrators of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb, members of the BoA Alok Chakraborty, Vivek Vaid and other dignitaries paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding his statue at Kachari Road in Siliguri. In addition, cultural programmes were also organized.
