Skull found while cleaning drain in Siliguri’s Ward No. 12, forensic investigation underway 

Siliguri, 21st March: Stir ensued in the Tilak Road area under Ward No. 12 of Siliguri after a skull was recovered from a drain. Reportedly, the sweepers were cleaning the drain in the said area. During this, a cleaning worker found a skull in the drain. In no time, the news of the same spread like wildfire across the area.  


Crowds of people started gathering in the area to see the skull. At the same time, Ward Councilor Basudeb Ghosh also reached the spot as soon as the news of the incident was received. After this, its information was given to the Siliguri police station. Ward councillor Basudeb Ghosh told that it rained for two days and speculated the possibility that the skull might have been washed away during the heavy rainfall. 

Police speculate that the skull is made of plastic, but the matter will be clear only after investigation. It is being told that the police have recovered the skull and sent it for forensic examination.
