Siliguri, 26th October: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee issued instructions to make preparations of Chatth Puja ghats in advance. Following the announcement, the city’s ghats were inspected today.
SJDA chairman Sourav Chakraborty inspected Santoshi Ghat and interacted with the puja organizers. “Chatth ghats are built every year. However, this year, everything will be done in advance. Santoshi Nagar Ghat will have lights, seating facilities, and bamboo barricades. COVID safety measures will also be followed,” Chakraborty said.
