Siliguri, 07th December: Thieves have stolen a silver idol of Baba Loknath worth lakhs of rupees from a home temple in Ganesh Ghosh Colony, Ward No. 46, under Pradhan Nagar police station. The house belongs to Shanti Das.
According to Shanti Das, she discovered the temple gate open when she woke up on Saturday morning.
Upon entering, she found that the silver idol of Baba Loknath, which was several years old and weighed approximately one kilogram, was missing.
The Pradhan Nagar police reached the spot immediately after being informed and have launched an investigation.
Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and examining various aspects of the case to identify the culprits.
