Siliguri, 30th December: A target of 30 months has been set to complete the reconstruction work of Siliguri’s NJP station. Till then the reconstruction work of NJP station will be completed. At the same time, today the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually participated in the Bhoomi Pujan of NJP station.
Railway officials including Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, MLA Anandamoy Barman, General Manager of North Eastern Railway Anshul Gupta, and DRM SK Choudhury were present at the Bhoomi Pujan of NJP station. Also, all were virtually present at the inauguration ceremony of Vande Bharat Express.
MP Raju Bista said that the NJP station will be refurbished in a new modern way within 30 months of duration. The station will be arranged according to international standards. General Manager of North Eastern Railway Anshul Gupta said that there will be many facilities at NJP station. Apart from parking, all arrangements will be made for the convenience of the passengers.
