Siliguri, 26th May: The Bidhan Market Byabasayee Samity of Siliguri submitted a letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, requesting ownership rights for all shops located within Bidhan Market.
According to reports, members of the Samity organized a protest on Friday, displaying placards in front of the SDO building. They later handed over a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister through the SDO’s office.
Bapi Saha, the Secretary of the Bidhan Market Byabasayee Samity, emphasized the significance of business ownership while speaking on the matter. He expressed optimism that the Chief Minister would take note of their grievances and offer a suitable resolution. Furthermore, he highlighted the Samity’s intention to continue their protests if their demands are not addressed satisfactorily.
