Siliguri Ward No. 01 voter finds vote already cast, TMC candidate Gautam Deb visits polling station

Siliguri, 23rd April: A surprising incident was reported from Ward No. 01 of Siliguri, where a young voter alleged that his vote had already been cast before he could vote, triggering confusion at the polling booth.

According to reports, Rakesh Sahani went to the polling station at Deshbandhu Hindi School to cast his vote. However, after standing in line and entering the booth, he was informed that his vote had already been recorded, and he was asked to return later in the afternoon.

The incident drew immediate attention after Siliguri TMC candidate Gautam Deb was informed about the matter. He promptly visited the spot and interacted with the voter as well as polling officials present at the booth.

Officials later stated that the voter’s details would be re-verified, and necessary action would be taken as per election procedures if required.
